On this day April 10, 1983, NBC premiered the television adaptation of Casablanca, a short lived series based on the legendary 1942 film. Set in 1941, the series served as a prequel to the original story, with Hector Elizondo taking on the role of Captain Renault and a young Ray Liotta starring as Sacha, one of the café staff.
