On this day, November 18, 1988, Manowar released their sixth studio album, Kings of Metal. A heavy metal anthem-filled record, it quickly became one of the band’s most iconic works, showcasing their signature mix of epic themes, powerful riffs, and grandiose lyrics.

Though it didn’t dominate global charts, the album reached #37 in France and solidified Manowar’s reputation as “true metal” legends. Tracks like “Hail and Kill,” “Heart of Steel,” and the title song “Kings of Metal” remain fan favorites to this day.

Are you a fan of Kings of Metal? Which track do you think best represents the spirit of the album?
