Overview:
Lucinda Williams is Lucinda Williams's third album. It was first released in 1988, then re-released with bonus tracks by KOCH International in 1998. Up to January 2000 it had sold close to 100,000 copies in America.

In 1994, "Passionate Kisses" won a Grammy for best country song for Williams as songwriter, which had been covered by Mary Chapin Carpenter, who also won a best female country vocal performance for the song the same year.

It ranked number thirty-nine on Spin's 100 Greatest Albums, 1985-2005.
