On this day, October 22, 1982, Jinxed! premiered in theaters. Directed by Don Siegel and starring Bette Midler, Ken Wahl, and Rip Torn, the dark comedy followed a singer, a gambler, and a string of bad luck. Despite a strong cast and a sizable budget of $13.4 million, the film was a box office disappointment, grossing only $2.8 million. The film became infamous for behind-the-scenes conflicts and has since been largely forgotten by audiences.
