On this day, January 23, 1983, The A-Team premiered on NBC, introducing audiences to one of the most iconic action-adventure series of the 1980s. The show followed a team of former Special Forces operatives—Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, Templeton "Faceman" Peck, H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock, and Bosco "B.A." Baracus—who worked as soldiers of fortune, helping those in need while evading military capture for a crime they didn’t commit.

Over five seasons and 98 episodes, The A-Team became known for its over-the-top action sequences, creative use of improvised gadgets, and unforgettable catchphrases like "I love it when a plan comes together." The chemistry among the cast, including George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz, and Mr. T, made the show a pop culture phenomenon.
