On this day, December 11, 1985, the sitcom Foley Square premiered on CBS. Starring Margaret Colin as Alex Harrigan, an assistant district attorney navigating the challenges of her job and personal life in Manhattan, the show offered a comedic take on life in the legal world.

Despite its promising premise and talented cast, Foley Square ran for only one season, consisting of 14 episodes, before being canceled. However, it remains a part of 80s TV nostalgia for fans of legal comedies with a slice-of-life feel.
