On this day, October 29, 1986, the final episode of Better Days aired on CBS. The sitcom, which ran for only one season with a total of 17 episodes, followed the life of Brian McGuire, a recent college graduate who moves to New York City and becomes a counselor at an inner-city youth center. Despite its heartfelt premise and humor, Better Days struggled to find an audience and was canceled after its first season.
