Today’s fact. The Antikythera mechanism, discovered by sponge divers in 1900, is sometimes called the world's first analog computer. Designed to calculate dates and predict astronomical phenomena, it was so advanced nothing surpassed it for almost 1500 years.
 
Today’s fact. In the early 20th century, the area now known as Glass Beach in California was used as a trash dump. Decades of ocean tides have cleared the beach and polished the discarded bottles and automobile tail lights into colorful pebbles of sea glass.

Today's fact. The three dots on the Domino's logo represent the chain's three original locations. Co-founder Tom Monaghan originally planned to add a new dot for every pizzeria he opened.
