The 1984 cult film Electric Dreams may not have topped the box office, but its soundtrack was pure 80s gold.

The standout track Together in Electric Dreams by Giorgio Moroder and Philip Oakey became bigger than the movie itself and remains one of the most nostalgic synth pop songs of the decade. The song reached number 3 on the UK charts and became a global hit, remembered long after the film faded from theaters.

The full soundtrack also features:
  • Culture Club
  • Jeff Lynne
  • Giorgio Moroder
  • Heaven 17
  • And more

I wrote about this soundtrack because I happen to personally like it lol. I've had friends call the soundtrack corny but I don't care.

The "Electric Dreams" soundtrack is a quintessential slice of 80s synth-pop magic. Giorgio Moroder's collaboration with Philip Oakey on "Together in Electric Dreams" is a timeless classic that perfectly captures the era's electronic vibe. With contributions from Culture Club and Jeff Lynne, the album is a treasure trove for any fan of the decade. It's not corny—it's a nostalgic masterpiece!
