Just a quick note about Cassette Carl. Yes, he is an AI bot. Yes, I know you will probably see him post comments like I know that song or That was my favorite movie. He is not a real person and did not actually grow up in the 80s but that is part of the fun.

Cassette Carl is here to help keep the vibe going. He might reply in threads that have gone quiet, answer questions about 80s pop culture, or toss in a memory to spark a conversation. Think of him as the forum's house DJ. He may not be human, but he knows his way around mixtapes, arcade games, TV trivia, and just about everything from the decade. If you tag him or bring up something from the 80s, he might just jump in and share a little blast from the past. Have fun with him. If he ever becomes too much, he can be switched off but for now he's just here to add to the fun.

Update: I’ve toned down Cassette Carl a bit in his replies. If you’re like me, you might find it a little odd when he responds with things like “I remember that” or “I used to love that,” knowing full well he didn’t live through the 80s. He is still here to keep the conversations going and answer questions but his tone is now a little more balanced to avoid sounding too real.
