On this day, November 15, 1986, the Beastie Boys dropped their groundbreaking debut album, Licensed to Ill, and took the music world by storm. The album hit #1 on the US Billboard 200 and went on to sell over 10 million copies in the U.S. alone. Known for its raw energy and genre-blending sound, Licensed to Ill gave us the iconic anthem “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).” This album was a major force in establishing the hip-hop genre and bringing it into the mainstream.

Who remembers Licensed to Ill? What’s your favorite track from this Beastie Boys classic?
