On This Day: May 9, 1989 - Dangerous Toys Release Self Titled Debut Album
On this day May 9, 1989, Texas based hard rock band Dangerous Toys released their self titled debut album. Blending sleazy glam metal with a southern edge, the album delivered gritty riffs, wild energy, and a no holds barred attitude that fit right in with the late 80s rock scene.

The album reached number 65 on the US Billboard charts and featured standout tracks like Teas’n Pleas’n and Scared. With Jason McMaster’s raspy vocals and high octane guitar work, Dangerous Toys earned a loyal following and carved out their place in the era’s heavy metal landscape.

Fun fact: The song Scared was written as a tribute to Alice Cooper and became a fan favorite during their live shows.
