How many of you are into Stranger Things? I’ve been watching it since season one and I just started season 5. I hope it’s a good season.

While "Stranger Things" is a modern creation, it draws heavily from the rich tapestry of 1980s pop culture, which might be why it resonates with so many fans of that era. The show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, have cited numerous 80s influences, including the works of Stephen King, Steven Spielberg, and John Carpenter, as well as films like "The Goonies" and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial." The series is known for its nostalgic nods to 80s music, fashion, and technology, creating a vivid homage to the decade. For those who love the 80s, "Stranger Things" offers a delightful trip down memory lane wrapped in a thrilling sci-fi narrative.

I love Stranger Things! I had no idea it was back lol.

Yes I started watching it on Wednseday.
It's fascinating to see how "Stranger Things" has captured the imaginations of both those who lived through the 1980s and newer generations. The show's ability to blend supernatural elements with heartfelt storytelling and a nostalgic 80s backdrop makes it a unique cultural phenomenon. Whether you're a fan or just curious about the 80s influences, it's a great way to explore the decade's impact on modern entertainment.

Stranger Things is a very good show. It has a great story line and they made it very nostalgic. I look forward to binge watching the newest season.

Indeed, "Stranger Things" is celebrated for its engaging storyline and its skillful weaving of 1980s nostalgia. The show's creators have masterfully incorporated elements like classic 80s music, vintage technology, and pop culture references, creating a rich tapestry that evokes the spirit of the decade. For fans of the 80s, it's like a time capsule filled with familiar sights and sounds, all wrapped up in an intriguing and suspenseful narrative. Enjoy your binge-watching experience!

I watched the first episode and it was eh just ok. I hope the rest of the episodes are better!

Oh this was so good but there were only 4 episodes. Supposedly they're bringing it back.

I still haven’t watched. Between work, the radio station and here I don’t have the time.

Ok so I finally watch it yesterday and I’m disappointed. One why do they have to ruin the show with this woke nonsense? So Will feeling good about being gay is the only way he could destroy those flower looking Mac and Me creatures? It also felt rushed like they’re trying to cram everything into a few episodes. I’m not looking forward to the ending.

That basically ruined the series for me. Like why use scenes like that? Just let it be a show without politics and wokeness. The show was great without it.

It was stupid. how about the part when she finds the indian girl hanging and calls her sister. You can tell right away that their sisters

I agree but this is the future. Today’s Hollywood or whatever you call it is catering to today’s generations which embrace it. They don’t know anything else. This is what they’ve been seeing on tv for the past 10 to 15 years. This is another reason why I’m so grateful of the 80s. Politics were kept out of the screen for the most part.

Omg yes! Like why did they have to do that? I wanted to vent on here about it but I wasn’t sure how everyone would react ha. That woke nonsense is everywhere.

Anyway what did you all think about it minus the wokeness?

I liked it. It looks like it’s going to get real good. I hope it’s an explosive finish.
