On this day March 9 1988 the family drama series Aaron's Way premiered on NBC. Starring Merlin Olsen the show followed an Amish family that leaves their traditional lifestyle behind to honor their late son’s dream of running a vineyard in California. As they adjust to modern society they face cultural clashes and personal challenges while staying true to their values.
