On this day March 25 1983 The Black Stallion Returns premiered in theaters. Directed by Robert Dalva the family adventure film starred Kelly Reno reprising his role as Alec Ramsay alongside Vincent Spano and Teri Garr. The sequel picked up after the events of the first film as Alec travels to Morocco to find and reclaim his beloved horse after it is taken back by the Bedouin tribe who originally owned it. What follows is a thrilling and emotional journey across the desert filled with danger cultural discovery and the deep bond between boy and horse.

The film brought in $12 million at the box office and remained a favorite for fans of the original story with its sweeping cinematography and heartfelt themes.
