On this day April 1 1980 the pool hall comedy The Baltimore Bullet premiered in theaters. Directed by Robert Ellis Miller the film starred James Coburn as a seasoned pool hustler who teams up with a young protégé played by Bruce Boxleitner to take on high stakes games and one final big score.
Omar Sharif played the flashy and dangerous rival known as the Deacon while Ronee Blakley rounded out the cast.
