On July 24, 1981, the horror-thriller “Wolfen” premiered in theaters. Directed by Michael Wadleigh, the film starred Albert Finney, Diane Venora, Edward James Olmos, Gregory Hines, and Tom Noonan. Despite its intriguing plot and strong cast, “Wolfen” struggled at the box office, earning $10.6 million against its $17 million budget. The film, however, has since gained a cult following for its unique take on the werewolf genre.
