I know that this is a tough question but I think it’s a fun one. Think back to that first time you had your own cash to spend. Maybe it was babysitting money mowing lawns allowance or birthday cash burning a hole in your pocket. What did you buy with it? A cassette tape a video game candy a poster a toy?

I personally don’t remember but maybe some of you do.

I remember mine! The first thing I bought with my own money was a pair of jelly shoes. I saved up birthday cash and went straight to the shoe store at the mall. They were bright pink and probably the most uncomfortable things ever but I wore them like they were gold.

I remember those jelly shoes lol. They looked uncomfortable.

I have no idea. I’m really a dinosaur.

What kind of dinosaur are we talking about here?

Oooooh. A record. No question. I bought Madonna’s Like a Virgin with chore money and I thought I was the coolest girl on the planet. Totally worth every penny.

Do you still have the album?
