Think back to your bedroom in the 80s. What posters were on the wall? Did you have a boom box, lava lamp, or a stack of cassette tapes next to your bed? Maybe a Garfield phone or glow in the dark stars on the ceiling? How about a purple bulb?

Describe your setup. Bonus points if you remember your bedspread or what toys you kept within arm’s reach. Let’s recreate that room in words.

I had metal posters on my bedroom walls. I had toys all over the place, a record player, records and a tv. Grandma loved green so basically our whole apartment was that color. I had some funky curtains and brown carpet. I have a picture that shows part of my room. That’s my dad holding my new born brother.

I think it’s safe to say that most 80s bedrooms were plastered with posters.
