You ever have one of those moments where you randomly remember a movie you watched a hundred times as a kid but hadn’t thought about in years?

What 80s movie came rushing back to you out of nowhere and made you go oh wow I used to love this one!

Mine was Cloak and Dagger. I watched it a ton when I was a kid but completely forgot it even existed until I saw a random VHS cover online. That movie had everything spies, Atari games and that weird mix of kid adventure and serious danger. I had no clue what was going on half the time but I was obsessed.

Anyone else remember that one?

For me it was Baby Boom. I saw it on cable all the time back in the day but hadn’t thought about it in forever. Diane Keaton juggling a baby and a career felt like grown up chaos to little me. I watched it again recently and it totally made me laugh. The hair, the briefcases, the Vermont apple business it’s so perfectly 80s.

I actually saw that movie a few years ago for the first time.

One that came back to me recently was The Last Starfighter. I must’ve rented that thing ten times but forgot all about it for years. It had space battles, a regular guy turned hero and that weird reptile copilot. I watched it again not long ago and it actually holds up better than I expected.

That was a great movie. Haven’t seen it in years.
