On June 30, 1989, “The Karate Kid Part III” premiered in theaters, starring Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi. This third installment of the beloved series continued the story of Daniel’s martial arts journey under the guidance of his wise and skilled mentor.

Fun Fact!
Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel LaRusso, was originally supposed to have a romantic relationship with Jessica, played by Robyn Lively. However, Macchio requested that their characters remain just friends because he didn’t want to make his wife jealous. At the time of filming, Macchio was 27 years old, while Lively was 16.
