Directed by Cary Meadoway, “The Heavenly Kid” stars Lewis Smith, Jane Kaczmarek, Jason Gedrick, and Richard Mulligan. This supernatural comedy-drama follows a young rebel from the 1960s who, after dying in a car accident, is given a chance to earn his way into Heaven (Warrant) by becoming a guardian angel to a troubled 1980s teenager. With a box office gross of $3.8 million, the film blends nostalgia and humor, capturing the contrast between two different eras.
