On July 19, 1980, Billy Joel’s single “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me,” from his album Glass Houses, reached the number one spot on the US Billboard charts. Released on May 12, 1980, the song maintained its position as the top hit in America until August 1. It also achieved the number one spot in Canada.
