On this day, September 29, 1986, Iron Maiden released their sixth studio album, Somewhere in Time! The album peaked at #11 on the Billboard charts and reached #1 in Finland. Known for its futuristic themes and use of guitar synths, Somewhere in Time marked a new direction for the band while maintaining their signature heavy metal sound. The album features classics like “Wasted Years” and “Stranger in a Strange Land.”
