On this day, September 23, 1983, Eddie and the Cruisers premiered! Directed by Martin Davidson and starring Tom Berenger and Michael Paré, the film brought rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia to the big screen with a captivating story of a fictional band and their mysterious lead singer, Eddie Wilson. Despite having a budget of $5 million, the movie only earned $4.7 million at the box office. However, it later became a cult classic, thanks in part to its unforgettable soundtrack, including the hit “On the Dark Side.”
