On this day, November 13, 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was officially dedicated in Washington, D.C., honoring the men and women who served in the Vietnam War. This striking black granite wall, inscribed with the names of over 58,000 American troops who lost their lives, has become a place of remembrance and healing for veterans, families, and all who visit. The memorial also recognizes the sacrifices of the 304,000 troops who were wounded during the war.

Who has visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial? What were your thoughts on this powerful tribute?
