On this day, November 19, 1982, The Last Unicorn premiered in theaters. Directed by Arthur Rankin Jr., this beautifully animated fantasy film featured an all-star voice cast, including Alan Arkin, Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury, and Christopher Lee.

Based on Peter S. Beagle’s beloved novel, the movie told the enchanting tale of a unicorn on a quest to discover what happened to her kind. While it earned $6.4 million at the box office, it has since become a cult classic, beloved for its poignant story, unforgettable characters, and haunting musical score.
