Overview:
The Hurting is the debut album by the British synthpop band Tears for Fears. It was released on 7 March 1983, and peaked at no. 1 on the UK Album Chart. The album was certified Platinum by the BPI in January 1985.
The album contained Tears For Fears' first three hit singles - "Mad World", "Change", and "Pale Shelter" - all of which reached the Top 5 in the UK.
The album was remastered and reissued in 1999, and included four remixes as bonus tracks and an extensive booklet which described the recording process of the album.

Tears for Fears. I can’t believe that I didn’t post them sooner considering they were pretty dominant during the 80s pop scene. Not so much with this album the Hurting which I personally like but with their second album Songs From the Big Chair. Anyways I don’t want to derail this thread. The Hurting in my opinion is a great album. The songs Mad World, Chanew, Pale Shelter and the Hurting are great songs.
