On this day, December 16, 1989, the final episode of Rude Dog and the Dweebs aired on CBS. This animated series followed the adventures of Rude Dog, a street-smart canine with a sarcastic wit, and his ragtag group of misfit friends, the Dweebs.

Though it only lasted one season with 13 episodes, Rude Dog and the Dweebs is remembered for its vibrant 80s aesthetic, unique humor, and the catchy theme song. It was based on the popular Rude Dog character that originated from 80s surf and skate culture.
