On this day August 25, 1987, The Cars released their sixth studio album, Door to Door. The album, which marked the band’s final release before their initial breakup, reached #26 on the Billboard charts.

Door to Door continued The Cars’ signature blend of rock and new wave, featuring a mix of catchy melodies and polished production. Although it didn’t achieve the same level of success as some of their earlier albums, it still resonated with fans and remains a notable entry in their discography.
