Some Kind of Wonderful was an 80s teen movie written by John Hughs. The movie starred actors such as Eric Stoltz, Lea Thompson, Mary Stuart Masterson and more. You can’t say that you’re a fan of 80s teen movies if you haven’t this movie. Anyway with that being said here are some interesting movie facts about the movie.

John Hughs wrote Ferris Bueller’s Day when he was supposed to be writing Some Kind of Wonderful. Molly Greenwald turned down the option to star in Some Kind of Wonderful because she felt it wasn’t strong enough and was too derivative of other films. Andrew McCarthy also turned down the option.

John Hughs was the mi g of 80s teen movies but this one wasn’t one of his best. I completely understand why Molly would turn down the role. If you look at the other movies that she acted it would make sense for her reasons. The movie was just a ok.
