On December 31, 1985, singer and actor Ricky Nelson tragically passed away in an airplane accident en route to a New Year’s Eve concert in Dallas. A cultural icon of the 1950s and 60s, Nelson was known for hits like “Hello Mary Lou” and his role on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. His contributions to music and television continue to be celebrated.
