On January 28, 1985, the iconic song "We Are the World" was recorded with the aim of raising funds to aid the famine crisis in Ethiopia. This powerful anthem not only topped the charts in the United States from April 13 to March 10 but also reached the number one spot in numerous countries, including Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Remarkably, this charitable effort successfully raised over $64 million dollars.
