On this day, November 25, 1983, Status Quo released their sixteenth studio album, Back to Back. The album marked a significant moment for the band, featuring their classic rock sound while incorporating some 80s pop influences.

Back to Back reached #9 on the UK charts and included hit singles such as “Marguerita Time” and “Ol’ Rag Blues,” both of which became fan favorites. Notably, it was the last album to feature founding member Alan Lancaster and drummer Pete Kircher, marking the end of an era for the band.

What’s your favorite track from Back to Back? How do you think it compares to earlier Status Quo albums?
