On this day, September 26, 1980, Madness released their second album Absolutely! The album reached #146 on the US Billboard charts but was a massive success in the UK, peaking at #2. Absolutely includes some of the band’s best-known hits, such as “Baggy Trousers” and “Embarrassment,” which solidified Madness as one of the leading acts of the British ska and new wave scenes.
