On this day, July 17, 1981, Journey released their seventh album, “Escape,” which became a major success. The album hit #1 on the US Billboard 200 charts, featuring iconic tracks like “Who’s Crying Now” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.” It sold over 9 million copies in the US, solidifying Journey’s place in rock history and becoming a defining album of the 1980s.
