On July 4, 1986, the romantic comedy-drama “About Last Night” premiered in theaters. Directed by Edward Zwick, the film stars Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Jim Belushi, and Elizabeth Perkins. The story follows Danny (Rob Lowe) and Debbie (Demi Moore), who meet in a Chicago bar and quickly fall into a passionate love affair. Their relationship is tested by the realities of daily life and the influence of their friends, Bernie (Jim Belushi) and Joan (Elizabeth Perkins), who have very different views on love and commitment.

With a production budget of $8.5 million, “About Last Night” enjoyed considerable success at the box office, grossing $38.7 million. The film’s honest depiction of modern relationships and strong performances from its cast resonated with audiences and critics alike.
