On this day, December 28, 1986, the TV series Outlaws premiered on CBS. The show followed a group of 19th-century cowboys who were transported to the 20th century, where they became modern-day bounty hunters.

Starring Richard Roundtree, Outlaws ran for one season with a total of 12 episodes. Though short-lived, the series stood out for its unique blend of Western and contemporary action themes.
