On this day September 4 1989, Eureeka’s Castle premiered on Nick Jr. Aimed at preschool audiences, the show was set inside a giant wind up music box and followed the adventures of Eureeka, a friendly sorceress-in-training, along with her dragon friend Magellan, Batly the bat, and a colorful cast of puppet characters.
