On this day, November 18, 1985, Slade released their festive compilation album Crackers: The Christmas Party Album. Packed with holiday cheer and some of the band’s greatest hits, this album brought Slade’s trademark rock energy to the Christmas season.

The album reached #34 on the UK charts and included classics like “Merry Xmas Everybody,” along with other party anthems perfect for the holiday season. It became a staple for Christmas celebrations and further solidified Slade’s connection to the festive spirit.
