On this day November 12 1980, Enos premiered on CBS, a lighthearted spin off of the hit series The Dukes of Hazzard. The show followed Deputy Enos Strate, played by Sonny Shroyer, after he left Hazzard County to join the Los Angeles Police Department. The series mixed comedy, charm, and action as the small town deputy tried to adjust to big city life while staying true to his kind heart and Southern manners.
