On this day March 31 1987 the cyberpunk sci-fi series Max Headroom premiered on ABC. Set in a dystopian future dominated by powerful TV networks and non-stop media the show starred Matt Frewer as both Edison Carter a hard-hitting investigative reporter and Max Headroom his digital alter ego.
