On this day March 26 1989 Quantum Leap premiered on NBC. The science fiction drama starred Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett a physicist who becomes trapped in time after testing a government time travel experiment. Each episode saw Sam leap into a different person’s life in the past where he worked to set things right before leaping again.
