On this day June 29 1984, the outrageous comedy Bachelor Party premiered in theaters. Starring Tom Hanks in one of his earliest leading roles, the film followed a soon to be groom whose friends throw him a wild and out of control party just days before his wedding.

Directed by Neal Israel, the movie blended slapstick humor, wild party scenes, and a surprising dose of heart. It became a box office hit and helped launch Tom Hanks on the path to becoming one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors...
