On this day June 26, 1987, the cult film Straight to Hell premiered in theaters. Directed by Alex Cox, the film starred Sy Richardson, Joe Strummer, Dick Rude, and Courtney Love in a surreal spaghetti western style story about hitmen hiding out in a bizarre desert town ruled by coffee addicted cowboys.

Shot quickly on a shoestring budget of 1 million dollars, the film only brought in 210,000 at the box office but found a second life as a cult favorite. With punk rock energy, absurd humor...
