On this day June 19, 1988, Voice of the Beehive released their debut album Let It Bee. Blending jangle pop with post punk energy and strong harmonies, the band made an immediate impression in the UK music scene.

Led by American sisters Tracey Bryn and Melissa Brooke Belland, the group brought a playful yet defiant attitude to their sound. Let It Bee featured catchy singles like I Say Nothing and Don't Call Me Baby, helping the album climb to number 13 on the UK charts.
