On this day June 18, 1984, Rod Stewart released his thirteenth studio album Camouflage. The album continued his 80s transformation into a slicker, more synth influenced sound while still showcasing his raspy vocal style.

Camouflage featured the singles Infatuation and Some Guys Have All the Luck, both of which received heavy rotation on MTV. The production leaned into glossy arrangements and big hooks, reflecting the musical trends of the mid 80s.
