On this day June 17, 1988, Red Heat premiered in theaters. Directed by Walter Hill, the action thriller starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a tough Soviet police officer who teams up with a wisecracking Chicago detective played by Jim Belushi. The cast also included Peter Boyle, Ed O'Ross and Gina Gershon.
