On this day July 13, 1985, A View to a Kill by Duran Duran became the number one song in America. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 from July 13 through July 26, becoming the only James Bond theme to ever reach number one in the United States. The song also hit number one in Canada, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, and Denmark, proving its global appeal.
