On this day July 11, 1986, Club Paradise premiered in theaters as a tropical comedy that brought together an eclectic cast under the direction of Harold Ramis. The film starred Robin Williams as a Chicago firefighter who retires to a fictional Caribbean island and tries to turn a rundown resort into a tourist hot spot. Joining him were Peter O'Toole, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Twiggy, Jimmy Cliff, and Adolph Caesar.
